I look forward to a mutual interaction with you all and it is my hope that this platform would serve as a place where you can also relax and enjoy the beauty that photography brings to the soul. My best regards and I hope you enjoy the experience.

The Artist ~ Naomi Achu

Naomi is known by many for her songwriting skills, clever rhymes and melodic voice. I present to you on the blog today a phenominal multitalented artist whose history stems from way back when  she wrote her first song at the tender age of nine. She began singing Gospel a’capella as a student at the all female prestigious Saker Baptist College; nurturing her song writing skills as she went through secondary and high school. Singing back up vocals for prolific artists at M1 studio in Buea, Cameroon; she was swiftly noticed and her talent quickly became  irrestibible to the executives of one of the country’s mega telecom company. With such talent, it was a no brainer that her vocals was choosen as the official voice for MTN (Mobile Telephone Network) in Cameroon.

At the release premiere of her most recent album while rushing from coverying a bridal shower , I was lucky to catch-up with this incredible sister just in time as she hit the stage to perform her hit song “Alhadji”.  With my SLR in hand almost depleted of power from the previous assignment…;)I was still able to freeze her in time as she did her thing.  Photographic technique applied here is called “Low Light Photography”. With limited power and only 50 shots left before my XD storage card was completely filled, I knew every single shot I had to take had to be just right. Wasting any one of them was obviously not an option, a few of which I have featured on this post. How the shots came out? Well you be the judge.

A big shout out to Naomi for sharing such incredibly “Positive Energy” talent!

My best shot of the collection ~ just love her facial expression here!

With a performance so impressive, the pursuit for her new album’s CD by the crowd climaxed in just minutes after the delivery of the song “Alhadji”
