The Wedding Dress’ Arrival

Hi blog fans, as I get ready to head out this morning for my second wedding of the month of September, I thought I break my hiatus with a fresh post. Like I always tell everyone of my couples, the ONLY predictable part of my art is the fact that your ‘BIG DAY’ will be covered as completely as possible + ofcourse that ounce of artistic edge I bring to every assignment I take on. Like this post would portray, my goal as I approach every wedding has always been to tell your story as I see it. And that would mean drawing from all the detailes you must have shared with me during our prior consultations, identifying any last minute changes to our timeline or any subtle variation I may notice or be informed right at the time I make that first contact with the Bride at her dress-up location. All that wealth of information eventually comes into play as to how I finally approach your day from a photojournalists’ perspective . In this Bride’s case, the wedding dress was being delivered. How often do you get that? Well I guess rarely. All I knew was I had to capture this unique and exciting dynamic. Now lets see how it rolled out…
Started shooting details, make-up et al but quickly headed downstairs once the dress’ ETA (estimated time of arrival) was 15minutes!

Caught up with the Maid of Honor and Bridesmaid just as they received Ring and Dress…

From here on, all I did was tail them while recording what I saw…

We accessed the resort’s double doors, heading for the elevators…

Just after this shot, I took control of the scene…temporarily holding the elevators while I rushed to the Resort’s atrium for a “unique” shot I had conceived on my way down!

Didn’t know the anticipation back in suite had already boiled over! These curious little ones below sure explain my point…

Here comes the “Unique” shot I had visualised from the atrium! That perspective was all I craved as the dress rode the elevators…

Then just befor we headed to our suite, I asked the ladies if they could help me one more time…

Not only were they very helpful but had an artistic eye as well…all I did here was close my shutter, never touching the dress even once I tel ya’:)

Held the dress outside for a moment while I access the suite. Bride was like “where is my dress…? lol  I said relax and come with me to the window…

And as I captured the shots above, the dress made it’s entrance and ‘BANG’, I caught the reaction below.
